Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-10-03
This policy covers the mobile games Stack of Ages, Pulsar Rush, Puff Up! and Lunar Tide (together “the games”), made by Tapwaffle, Belgium (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the games. Questions: support@tapwaffle.com.
The short version
- You don’t need an account. We don’t ask for your name, email or location.
- Your scores and settings are stored only on your device.
- The games show ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers to show and measure ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time under “Privacy options” in the game menu.
- There are no in-app purchases.
- Crash reports help us fix bugs; they contain technical data, not who you are.
1. Data stored on your device
The games save your best score, number of rounds played, sound setting in the app’s local storage. To make cheating harder this data is signed with a key derived from your device identifier. None of this leaves your device and we cannot access it. Uninstalling the game deletes it.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The games are free and paid for by ads, served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). To show, limit and measure ads, the AdMob SDK may collect:
- your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, only where you allow it),
- IP address (used to estimate an approximate location, such as country),
- device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version),
- interactions with ads (views, clicks) and diagnostic data.
Consent. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the game asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before ads are personalised. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use limited data for things like frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting. You can reopen the form any time with “Privacy options” in the main menu. On iOS the game also respects Apple’s App Tracking Transparency choice.
Legal basis (GDPR). Personalised ads: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)). Non-personalised ads, fraud prevention and keeping the game free: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).
Google acts as an independent controller for this data. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings, or opt out of personalised ads there.
3. Purchases
The games currently have no in-app purchases. If that changes, this section will describe them.
4. Crash and performance reports
The games are made with Unity. When the game crashes or hits a serious error, Unity (Unity Technologies) may collect a technical report: device model, operating system, app version, the error and its stack trace, and an anonymous installation identifier. We use these only to fix bugs. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a working game. See the Unity player privacy policy.
5. Children
The games are not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will help remove it.
6. How long data is kept
Local game data stays until you uninstall the game. Data collected by Google and Unity is kept according to their own policies. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to answer you and deleted within a year.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time (via “Privacy options” in the game). Because we don’t hold data that identifies you, most requests are best directed at Google or Unity; we’re happy to help: support@tapwaffle.com. You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be) or your local authority.
8. Data transfers
Google and Unity may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Important changes will also be mentioned in the games’ update notes.
